Avant Garde Spec Book
pRINTMAKING, TYPOGRAPHY, & BOOKMAKING, 2019
This avant-garde spec book was designed as a flag book with an accordion binding to create an organic, flowing structure. I hand-bound the cover using canvas and silkscreened the title on the front for a tactile, handcrafted finish. The book features three levels of compositions, providing a clear separation between text descriptions and the natural form of the type. Utilizing the Avant Garde typeface as a visual element, the typography itself becomes part of the composition, balancing aesthetic and functional readability.
